One Bastion. Every direction. No way out but forward.
Our next game, Invaders: Orbital Tower Defence, is nearly ready, and it’s coming soon to the Google Play Store. It’s an endless tower defence and arcade shooter for Android, built for playing in portrait with one thumb.
You command a lone Bastion drifting in deep space. Alien invaders close in from every side, wave after wave, and they don’t stop coming. How long can you hold the line?

How it plays
There’s no maze and no path to build. Your Bastion sits at the centre of the screen and fires automatically at anything that gets close. Your job is to make the big calls, fast.
The invaders don’t all play fair. Some charge straight in. Some weave. Some spiral slowly inward. Others hang back at range and launch warheads at you. Every ten waves, a Mothership arrives to test everything you’ve built.
Your fingers matter:
- Tap an invader to lock your fire onto it, with bonus damage and a better chance to crit.
- Tap incoming warheads to shoot them down before they hit. Chain intercepts together for a streak bonus.
- Fire an EMP when things get desperate and the screen is full.

Scavenge their tech and turn it against them
Every invader you destroy drops alien salvage. Fill the salvage meter and time freezes for the Salvage Draft: three cards of scavenged tech, and you keep one. Homing rounds, Tesla chains, gun drones, cryo fields, scatter shrapnel… every run builds into something different.
Between drafts, hold your finger on the Bastion to open the Upgrade Ring. Your systems fan out around it while the battle slows to a crawl, and you spend the Bits you’ve earned to level them up mid-fight.
Fall, rebuild, go further
You will fall. Probably early, the first few times. That’s the point.
Every wave you survive earns Vector Cores, and Cores are yours to keep. Back in the Workshop, you spend them on permanent upgrades to your Bastion’s cannon, fire rate, hull, repair systems, targeting and more. Then you launch again, and this time you get a little further.
That “one more run” pull is at the heart of the game. Each new wave record feels earned. You can run up to five separate commanders, each with their own progress, so you can try different builds or share the game with the family.
Neon, vectors and chiptune
Invaders has a look all of its own: glowing neon on deep navy-black, crisp vector lines and a CRT scanline finish, like an arcade cabinet from a future that never happened. The invaders themselves are original creatures, from scuttling crabs and darting bats to armoured beetles, saucer-jellies and long-range squids. When they die, they shatter into lines of light.
There are no sprites or image files at all. Everything on screen, from the title laser-etched into the menu to the last spark of an explosion, is drawn live in code. The sound effects are synthesised too, and the soundtrack is ten slow, eerie space chiptune tracks to keep you company in the dark.
Play your way
Invaders is free to play, with no banner ads cluttering the screen. Optional rewarded ads give you a boost when you want one, such as an Overclock or doubling your Cores at the end of a run. They’re always your choice.
Short on time? Switch on AUTO-BUY and the Bastion will manage its own upgrades while you watch the fireworks. Want to go all in? Tap, lock, intercept and draft your way to a new record. The game autosaves as you go, so you can always pick up where you left off.
